There are three designs of hybrid laptop power systems that we make, connector type, switch type and direct type. We call this system a hybrid laptop power system, because this system can use power from batteries and rechargeable batteries, and from a wall outlet and AC adapter so that like a desktop computer, it can be used alternately.

The advantages of the hybrid laptop power system design that we created, status whether the battery is charging or not when the AC adapter is plugged into the wall socket and laptop, can be monitored even if the laptop is not turned on or when it is turned on, and to change whether the system charges the battery or not can be done while the laptop is on or off, and other advantages are the same as the laptop power system which allows the battery not to be charged when the AC adapter is connected to the laptop and the power outlet.

In the hybrid laptop power system design that we created, the status of whether the system is charging the battery or not can be seen from the position of the hole where the AC adapter plug is plugged in, on a hybrid laptop power system of the connector type, because this type of system has two charging ports on the laptop, by monitoring the switch position for both switch and direct types.

The battery charger used in the hybrid laptop power system design we created, can use an old battery charger that always charges the battery when the AC adapter is connected to the wall outlet and laptop, or a new battery charger that can charge the battery and not when the AC adapter is plugged into the wall and the laptop. A new battery charger would probably be better, because it has other abilities that can be utilized. However, if the old battery charger is cheaper, you can use the old battery charger.

Our hybrid laptop power system design looks very simple, even just by modifying existing technology, but the result is a new and very useful technology. Creating new, simpler technology with the same capabilities as more complex ones is better, that is the art of technology.
